SCAI Submits Comments in Favor of Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Proposed Rule Banning Non-Competes | SCAI

SCAI recently submitted comments to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in favor of the Proposed Rule that would ban non-compete clauses in all employment contracts. Interventional cardiologists are often subject to mandatory non-compete provisions in contractual agreements with their employers. SCAI’s comments state, "These provisions are contained in what amounts, in many cases, to contracts of adhesion because a physician’s only choice is to accept the contract terms without revision or else forgo employment.”
