On June 15, CMS issued its proposed decision memo for TAVR. This opened the final 30-day comment period on changes to the existing National Coverage Determination. Most of the proposed changes aligned with the SCAI member survey.

In collaboration with the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), SCAI has submitted comments on areas of the proposed decision that needed clarification. CMS has stated its final decision memo should be released around 9/15/2026.
