SCAI has written to Senator Green, thanking him for reintroducing the Reducing Medically Unnecessary Delays in Care Act (H.R. 2433) and his commitment to ensuring Medicare Advantage (MA) policies are not a barrier to timely and equitable access to care for patients.

The letter communicates SCAI's belief that it is in the best interests of patients for prior authorization determinations to not only be reviewed by physicians but that they are reviewed by a physician who is credentialed in the same specialty as the treating physician.
