On January 13, CMS initiated its national coverage analysis for renal denervation. This opened a 30-day comment period where CMS requested clinical studies and other scientific information to inform their decisions regarding the creation of a National Coverage Determination. CMS has stated their proposed decision memo should be released by 7/13/2025.
In collaboration with the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Society for Vascular Medicine (SVM), SCAI has submitted comments. SCAI will await the proposed decision memo and respond accordingly.
