The SCAI-led PAD Work Group responded to the Washington State Health Care Authority's request for comments regarding their technology assessment related to angioplasty and stenting for PAD. The comments made clear that the American College of Radiology, the Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, the Society of Interventional Radiology, and the Society for Vascular Surgery failed to make a case that was based on sufficient clinical evidence and should not be allowed to proceed.
