Join Me in Montreal

The 2026 SCAI Conference is a must-attend event for cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and allied health professionals dedicated to advancing the field of structural heart interventions.

This year's program delivers a bold, forward-looking curriculum that reflects the latest innovations in aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valve therapies, as well as left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) and patent foramen ovale (PFO) procedures.

The conference will allow both early-career and experienced structuralists to improve their skills and knowledge through a variety of didactic sessions, case-based learning, controversies and live cases.

This year's conference offers an unparalleled opportunity to:

- Master Complex Techniques: Dive into advanced procedural guidance, imaging strategies, and emerging technologies that are reshaping structural interventions.

- Advance Patient Outcomes: Explore cutting-edge approaches to TAVR, LAAO, and tricuspid valve repair, including transcatheter innovations and surgical considerations tailored to diverse patient populations

- Challenge the Status Quo: Engage in thought-provoking discussions on ethical and economic implications of evolving therapies—such as TAVR in younger patients and LAAO for primary stroke prevention.

Join us in Montreal and be a part of shaping the future of structural heart care.

Structural Program Track Director

Overview

This program delivers a cutting-edge exploration of the latest innovations and essential techniques in structural heart disease interventions.

Attendees will dive into evolving therapies for aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valves, as well as left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) and patent foramen ovale (PFO) procedures.

The curriculum spans foundational concepts, like TAVR fundamentals, to advanced strategies for complex tricuspid interventions, while also tackling timely debates on the ethical and economic dimensions of structural heart care.

Through real-world case discussions and hands-on learning, participants will gain actionable insights and practical skills to elevate patient outcomes and clinical decision-making.

Target Audience

Includes cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and cardiovascular surgeons who specialize in or are looking to expand their expertise in structural heart disease interventions. Cardiology fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and allied health professionals involved in structural heart procedures and patient management would also benefit.

Learning Objectives

After attending SCAI 2026 Scientific Sessions, the learner will be able to:

  • Describe recent advancements in structural heart interventions, including innovations in aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valve therapies and LAAO for stroke prevention.
  • Apply knowledge of TAVR techniques and considerations for complex cases, such as small annuli, bicuspid valves, and managing young patients, to improve procedural outcomes.
  • Assess diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for tricuspid regurgitation using imaging modalities and interventional options like T-TEER, TTVR, and surgery based on patient-specific factors.

Now Available on Demand

In the SCAI Conference Library, a wealth of trusted, quality online resources from past SCAI meetings can be found, including recorded presentations and downloadable PowerPoints that now, for the first time, include sessions recorded during the Congenital Track at SCAI 2025 Scientific Sessions.

Members can access SCAI Conference Library resources for free by logging in using their SCAI account information and searching by event, clinical practice area, keyword, and speaker to explore available resources.

Non-members can join SCAI to receive this member benefit or purchase past conference recordings a la carte.

Highlights
State of the SHD (Structural Heart Disease) Union

This session is structured as a comprehensive "State of the Union" overview, emphasizing a year-in-review (focusing on key 2025–2026 advancements from trials, devices, and outcomes) while providing a forward-looking glimpse into emerging trends and future innovations. These talks will highlight real-world data, procedural refinements, and interdisciplinary implications for structural heart disease.

Seal the Deal: The Modern Era of LAAO

This session offers a high-level update on structural heart disease interventions, highlighting recent advances, clinical data, and evolving strategies in transcatheter aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valve therapies, as well as LAAO and plug-based interventions. Expert-led discussions will explore current trends and future directions in SHD care.

Mind the Gap: PFO, Stroke, and the Brain-Heart Connection

This session explores the evolving understanding of patent foramen ovale (PFO) and its role in stroke, migraine, and brain-heart interactions. Experts will examine imaging techniques, closure strategies, and interdisciplinary perspectives to guide clinical decision-making.
