Governance and Leadership

SCAI is the preeminent, global authority for the interventional cardiovascular community and its stakeholders, and the professional home for its providers.

This status is realized through innovative, collaborative, and well-communicated work in patient advocacy, education, quality, research, community, and communications independently, and in collaborative partnerships.

Our mission is to lead the global interventional cardiovascular community through education, advocacy, research, and quality patient care.

Strategic Plan

SCAI's strategic plan focuses us on what matters most —advancing patient care and supporting the interventional cardiovascular community in a rapidly changing environment.

It helps guide thoughtful decisions, align our efforts, and translate our mission and vision into meaningful progress for patients, physicians, and the field as a whole.

Board of Trustees

SCAI’s Board of Trustees provides strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the Society remains focused on its mission and long‑term impact.

The Board helps set the organization’s direction, safeguards its financial health, and ensures that SCAI’s programs and priorities align with its mission, vision, and values.

Councils and Committees

SCAI’s Councils and Committees help advance the Society’s mission by providing expert insight and turning strategy into action.

Councils focus on key clinical and professional areas, identifying needs, opportunities, and priorities where SCAI can lead.

Committees support implementation by developing programs and initiatives that align with SCAI’s strategic goals and deliver value to members, patients, and the field.

Call to Service

Through service on the Board of Trustees, councils, and committees, SCAI's Call for Leadership invites dedicated members to contribute their expertise, perspective, and commitment to the profession.

We encourage members who are passionate about collaboration, excellence, and service to explore available leadership opportunities and consider applying or nominating a colleague.

Whether an experienced leader or seeking to deepen their involvement, serving in a leadership role offers members a meaningful opportunity to influence the direction of the Society and support the interventional cardiology community.
