Pedro Engel Gonzalez, MD, FSCAI | SCAI

Dr. Pedro Engel Gonzalez, MD, FSCAI, is an early career interventional cardiologist specializing in structural heart interventions at Henry Ford Health. Dr. Engel Gonzalez completed his medical education at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, his internal medicine training also at Northwestern University, and further specialized training in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern. He completed additional training with a fellowship in structural heart interventions at Henry Ford Hospital, where he worked with pioneers in the field of structural heart disease. He has received many accolades and awards throughout his training for his clinical work, research activities, and teaching. He is currently actively involved in research as the site principal investigator for several clinical trials, he has published over 60 peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, and book chapters, and he is a reviewer for several high-impact journals. Dr. Engel Gonzalez has also contributed to advancements in the field through innovation in both procedural techniques and new devices used in structural heart interventions.
