Nino Mihatov, MD, FSCAI | SCAI

Dr. Mihatov earned his BS from Georgetown University and his MD from Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency, chief residency, and general cardiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where he served as chief fellow. He then completed fellowships in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He currently serves as the associate program director for the general cardiology fellowship and as the medical director of the cardiac intensive care unit.  

Dr. Mihatov’s research focuses on leveraging existing registry data to better understand outcomes associated with interventional procedures. He has authored publications in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Circulation, and the New England Journal of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (SCAI).  

Dr. Mihatov is fluent in Croatian and Spanish.
