Dr. Elgendy is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Vascular Medicine Program Director at the University of Kentucky, and the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Lexington VA Healthcare System. He completed his interventional cardiology and cardiology fellowships at the University of Florida, followed by a vascular intervention fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His research interests include complex PCI, as well as pharmacological and interventional therapies for acute coronary syndrome and cardiogenic shock.
