Holly Bauser-Heaton, MD, PhD, FSCAI, is a professor of pediatrics, chief of cardiology, and co-executive director of the Children’s Heart Institute at UTHealth Houston and the John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern distinguished chair. She completed her interventional cardiology training at Stanford University before joining the faculty at Emory University in 2016. She served as the co-director of the Pulmonary Artery Rehabilitation Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Her time is equally split between congenital interventional cardiology and basic science, with a funded laboratory investigating mechanisms of pulmonary vascular disease through a 3D-bioprinted model.
