Zachary Paul Rosol, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist at Baylor University Medical Center and the Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospital – Dallas (BSW THH – Dallas). He is also currently a clinical assistant professor of medicine for Texas A&M Health Sciences Center and the medical director of the ICU at BSW THH – Dallas.
His early career and research interests have been focused on three areas. Firstly, he has spearheaded the growth of pulmonary embolism (PE) management with the purpose of integrating new technology to improve patient care. This has enabled BSW to take part in shaping future guidelines and care through participation in randomized clinical trials. Secondly, under the mentorship of Dr. Subhash Banerjee and his pre-eminent PAD registry, the Excellence in Peripheral Artery Disease Registry (XLPAD), he participates in clinical outcomes-based research in patients with PAD. Thirdly, with interests in CT coronary angiography and advanced interventional cardiology techniques, Dr. Rosol seeks to discover and enact best practices to improve procedural success and patient outcomes in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD).
In 2025 Dr. Rosol was the recipient of the SCAI-Shockwave Early Career Research Grant for his project, Comparative Outcomes of Intravascular Lithotripsy Versus Atherectomy Calcium Modification in the Infrapopliteal Arteries from the Multicenter XLPAD Registry.
