Osama Mukarram, MD, FSCAI | SCAI

Dr. Osama Mukarram is an attending interventional cardiologist at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, where he serves as associate program director of the interventional cardiology fellowship program. He is a recognized leader in complex coronary intervention, intracoronary imaging and physiology, and cardiogenic shock management. 

Dr. Mukarram has played a central role in advancing multidisciplinary shock care at his institution, helping to develop and lead a comprehensive cardiogenic shock program focused on timely mechanical circulatory support and protocol-driven care. His clinical expertise spans complex high-risk PCI, coronary physiology, and the use of advanced mechanical circulatory support devices. 

A dedicated educator, Dr. Mukarram is deeply committed to training the next generation of cardiologists, with a focus on case-based and guideline-driven learning. He has led multiple educational initiatives for fellows and multidisciplinary teams and is actively involved in curriculum development in interventional cardiology and cardiogenic shock care.
