Khansa Ahmad, MD, FSCAI | SCAI

Khansa Ahmad, MD, is a structural and endovascular fellow at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois, Advocate Christ Medical Center. Dr. Ahmad then pursued a two-year preventive and imaging cardiovascular fellowship, followed by general cardiovascular and interventional cardiology fellowships at Brown University.

Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and interventional cardiology, Dr. Ahmad serves on the editorial boards of two medical journals and regularly reviews manuscripts for over a dozen others. She has authored numerous publications on health disparities and clinical outcomes and contributed to book chapters. Dr. Ahmad has also presented her research at a range of local, national, and international conferences.

Her research interests include health disparities, outcomes research, and structural and endovascular interventions. A passionate advocate for medical education, Dr. Ahmad is deeply involved in mentoring medical students, residents, cardiology fellows, and advanced practitioners.
