I am originally from Peru where I completed my medical school. Subsequently, I spent two years as a postdoctoral fellow in cardiac stem cells research at the University of Miami, later joined the Internal Medicine program and, finally, moved to New Orleans (Tulane University) for Cardiology and Interventional fellowship.
