Hafeez Hassan Virk, MD, FSCAI | SCAI

Dr. Hafeez Hassan MD (FSCAI and RPVI) is a board-certified endovascular interventional cardiologist with expertise spanning internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, vascular medicine, and interventional cardiology. He is an assistant professor at Ohio University and director of the vascular lab at Adena Health in Ohio.

A King Edward Medical University graduate in Pakistan, Dr. Hassan completed his postgraduate training at Mount Sinai, Albert Einstein Medical Center, and Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals in Cleveland.

Dr. Hassan’s clinical and academic interests lie in high-risk coronary interventions, limb ischemia, and limb salvage procedures. He initiated and led the development of an Acute Pulmonary Embolism Program aimed at improving the rapid diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of high-risk PE cases in Southern Ohio. He is also deeply committed to medical education and outcomes research, particularly in the areas of cardiovascular prevention and vascular interventions.

He has authored over 120 peer-reviewed publications and presented his work at national and international scientific meetings. He currently serves in Governance council at Adena Regional Medical Center, Ohio. In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Hassan currently serves on the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) Vascular Disease Council, with a term extending through 2027.
