FFR and OCT Guided Staged PCI of LAD Diagonal Bifurcation using orbital atherectomy

Left Main Bifurcation News & Clinical Trials

50-year-old female with a new onset of Class II angina and strongly positive stress MPI for multivessel myocardial ischemia with TID. A cardiac cath revealed three-vessel coronary artery disease: 70% severely calcified LAD/D1 bifurcation, 80% LCx-LPL, 80% mid RCA with SYNTAX score of 23 and LVEF of 60%. Patient initially underwent successful DES PCI to mid RCA. The case presents PCI of the LAD diagonal bifurcation using orbital atherectomy and 2-stent (mini-crush) technique using FFR and OCT imaging.
