Elias J. Dayoub, MD, MPP | SCAI

Elias Dayoub, MD, MPP, is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Michigan and staff interventional cardiologist at the Lieutenant Colonel Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center. He completed medical school at the University of Michigan, followed by an internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship, and interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, he completed the National Clinician Scholars Program, a two-year research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. 

Dr. Dayoub's clinical interests include the management of coronary artery disease and catheter-based therapies for the treatment of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). His research interests include the adoption of new cardiovascular therapies into clinical practice and the cost and access implications of medical innovation. His research utilizes real-world data from administrative claims databases and clinical registries to examine the relationship between cardiovascular care and health outcomes. 

In 2025 Dr. Dayoub was the recipient of the SCAI-Medtronic Early Career Research Grant for his project, In-Stent Restenosis in Contemporary Clinical Practice: An Analysis of Incidence, Risk Factors, Time to Stent Failure, and Variation in Treatment Approaches.
