Overview
Join SCAI monthly for the latest emerging technologies in interventional cardiology.
The December program features strategies for calcium modification, which aims to equip you, the interventional cardiologists, with the skills needed to address the challenges of managing calcified lesions. Through case-based learning, you will be empowered to achieve better outcomes for your patients with severe coronary calcification.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of these activities, participants will be able to:
- Describe the role of calcium modification techniques in addressing challenges posed by diverse types of calcified lesions.
- Differentiate between various tools and techniques used for calcium modification based on lesion presentation.
- Compare and contrast multiple management strategies for calcified lesions, considering their efficacy and safety profiles.
- Evaluate the potential impact of different intervention strategies on patient outcomes, including procedural success and post-procedure complications.
- Construct a comprehensive treatment plan that integrates calcium modification techniques and addresses the challenges posed by the presenting type of calcified lesion and other existing patient co-morbidities.
Agenda
- Welcome and Opening Discussion, Dr. Riley
- Complex Coronary Nodular Lesion: A Case in Calcium Modification, Dr. Alaswad
