I am an interventional cardiologist and faculty member at the University of New Mexico, specializing in complex coronary interventions, cardiogenic shock, and structural heart interventions.
A Texas native, I earned my B.S. in zoology from Texas A&M University before serving as an infantryman in the US Army. I then pursued my medical degree at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, followed by an internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. I completed advanced training in interventional cardiology at the University of Minnesota before returning to New Mexico to join the academic faculty.
Outside of medicine, I am a dedicated girl dad, former Bleacher Report sports writer, and avid enthusiast of New Mexico mountain hiking, science fiction, and outdoor cooking.
