I was born in Islamabad, Pakistan. I took up medicine in awestruck admiration of my parents, who were both gifted physicians. I was trained by mentors who put the patient at the very center of their decision-making, and I aspire to follow in the footsteps of my teachers, who have taught me to always think of a patient as I would think of my family. I aim to pursue my clinical and research interests and help alleviate suffering caused by cardiovascular disease all over the world. A lot of problems that our patients face have solutions. We must strive to provide patient-centered, equitable, and universal healthcare to all our patients.
