Gavin Stern brings experience in medical technology, public health, and digital-first communications. He spent much of his career at the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), where he was the Editor-in-Chief and Director of Publications & Media Relations. Before AAMI, Gavin was a national news producer for The E.W. Scripps Company.

Originally from New York, Gavin grew up in metro Detroit and South Florida. His alma maters are Stony Brook University (MS in Science Journalism), New York Medical College (MPH in Public Health), and the University of Michigan (Go Blue!).

Gavin lives in the Washington, DC, area with his wife Rebecca and their two boys, in addition to dogs Chewbacca and Rocket.
