    • Upcoming Events - WIN Chair Roxana Mehran, MD played an integral role in a recent FDA effort to redefine cardiovascular clinical trial endpoint definitions, an issue key to addressing gender disparities in cardiovascular care. A Standardized Data Collection for Cardiovascular Trials Initiative Webinar is scheduled for Friday, November 19, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST to discuss this issue and to outline next steps in the process. The final definitions are likely to be retrospectively tested through case report evaluation and the final white paper may be the basis to develop a cardiovascular trial data warehouse. • Breaking News - WIN was recently accepted for publication of its manuscript, "SCAI Consensus Document on Occupational Radiation Exposure to the Pregnant Cardiologist and Technical Personnel." Hard copy versions of this publication will be available in CCI and several other journals world-wide in February of 2011. Lead author, Patricia Best, MD, FSCAI and several other WIN members from around the world worked jointly on this effort, the second publication from WIN in the past year. To read WINExchange Co-Editor, Rasha Al-Lamee, MD's take on the issue of radiation, please click HERE.
    • World Tracker - WIN is working with its members from around the world to assist in developing programming on gender disparities. Examples include upcoming meetings in Indonesia, Japan and Saudi Arabia. Should you be interested in having WIN develop marketing or scientific slide sets, send marketing materials, or assist in developing content and select faculty for your meeting, please contact me at ROrtega@scai.org and I will be happy to get you started.
    • Hot Topics from the WINExchange Blog - Though a technique generally accepted and practiced in many countries around the world, the transradial approach to interventions is just now catching fire in the United States. In response, SCAI has created a series of transradial training programs to be offered in the US in 2011 (you can find out more about the series,  Co-Directed by WIN member, Kimberly Skelding, MD, HERE), but for now you can read WINExchange Co-Editor Sohah Iqbal, MD's post about her take on radials HERE.
