Should I have concerns about getting a stent?

If patients are concerned about getting a stent, I think it’s important for them to understand that stents are well-proven technology. They’ve been around for a decade or more, and they’re well proven, even the new drug-eluting stents, despite what we’ve seen in the media are safe and extremely effective.
