Course Description

The PVD course is designed to enhance knowledge and understanding of PVD through the following learning objectives:

Discuss the pathophysiology and natural history of peripheral vascular disease;
Recognize the appropriate diagnostic studies for evaluation of peripheral vascular disease;
Recall the appropriate medical therapies for different types of peripheral vascular disease;
Differentiate between the options for surgical and catheter-based treatment for iliac, renal, lower extremity, brachiocephalic, aortic and carotid disease;
Identify the appropriate equipment and techniques for interventional treatment of iliac, lower extremity, renal, aortic, brachiocephalic and carotid disease;
Select appropriate cases for interventional and surgical therapy of PVD
