    GIS 2010: Updated List of Sponsor Societies Announced

    Being introduced in Istanbul TURKEY, October 2010, SCAI's Global Interventional Summit in collaboration with the Turkish Society of Cardiology is where the World of Interventional Cardiology Meets.

    The program's goal? Advancing the specialty of interventional cardiology and improving patient care worldwide through the global sharing of ideas and new perspectives. Two dozen national and regional interventional societies listed below from Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and South America have already committed to cosponsoring this event:

    Register Now for SCAI Interventional Cardiology Fellows Course - ASIA 2010

    Held in conjunction with India Live 2010, the SCAI Interventional Cardiology Fellows Course - ASIA will take place on February 24-26, 2010. Attendees of the course will gain an in-depth knowledge of indications, techniques and expected outcomes for interventional cardiac, carotid and endovascular procedures. The program will present a variety of practical case-based content as well as matter of immediate value to attendees as they plan their post-fellowship practices.

    The value of this fellows training course lies in its faculty of internationally known experts in the field of interventional medicine, including course directors Ashok Seth, M.D., FSCAI and Michael J. Cowley, M.D., FSCAI.

    SOLACI Announces Creation of ProEducar Tool

    The mission of SOLACI is to "integrate, EDUCATE, promote research and standardize the practice of Cardiovascular Interventions in Latin America". In support of this, SOLACI has created its ProEducar initiative aimed at planning and coordinating the educational activities of the society, including: a monthly member educational newsletter; a virtual conference program including the most outstanding lectures from SOLACI meetings; Case Discussions on the Web involving presentations of complicated cases followed by experts' discussions; and the Inaugural ProEducar-SOLACI Course for Fellows in Interventional Cardiology which will take place on August 10, 2010, the day before the XVI SOLACI-XX CACI Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
