• Course 4: Intracoronary Imaging V Physiology

    Description

    Editor: Gary S. Mintz, MD
This module provides comprehensive information regarding physiologic assessment and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS). The presentations by Drs. Kern and Pijls cover the theory and practice of using coronary flow reserve (CFR), relative CFR (rCFR), and fractional flow reserve (FFR), both preintervention and after stent implantation. These presentations cover lesions that should be stented in the drug-eluting stent (DES) era, invasive vs. noninvasive assessment of ischemia, approaches to complex and multivessel disease (including serial stenoses, diffuse disease, ostial lesions, and left main disease), and optimizing DES implantation.
