Christopher Leach, M.D., FSCAI

Dr. Christopher Leach is currently in practice as an interventional cardiologist at Northeast Georgia Heart Center in Gainesville, Georgia. He has an active clinical practice and performs a variety of peripheral vascular procedures in addition to his concentration in coronary intervention. He has also has been instrumental in the development of the structural heart disease program at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. His interests include the development and testing of novel devices for transcatheter procedures as well as the use of magnetic guidance systems in the treatment of coronary and peripheral arterial disease.
Dr. Leach is a graduate of the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse. His subsequent internal medicine residency, as well as cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships, were completed at Barnes Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. There he pursued research in cardiac MRI and noninvasive imaging, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and the use of magnetic guidance in interventional procedures. Dr. Leach is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology.
