SCAI Signs on to AMA Letter to HHS Expressing Concerns About Physician and Nonphysician Reimbursement

    November 07, 2019

SCAI, along with other medical organizations, signed on to a letter by the American Medical Association (AMA) to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) that outlined concerns about a provision in the October 3, 2019, Executive Order entitled, “Protecting and Improving Medicare for our Nation’s Seniors.”  The concern is that the Executive Order would require HHS to propose a regulation to eliminate or weaken current Medicare supervision requirements of nonphysician professionals.

For more background, SCAI members are urged to educate and familiarize themselves with the controversies currently surrounding Scope of Practice issues.
