To promote nationally a more thorough understanding of advanced forms of heart failure with an interventional cardiology focus, including the ability to perform a directed comprehensive invasive evaluation of complex pathophysiologic states, understand the clinical implications of the results, and implement advanced treatment strategies, be they pharmacologic or device-based.
- Implement a targeted educational symposium with multidisciplinary approach to understanding invasive hemodynamics and physiology (interpretation, utilization, implications and pitfalls)
- Provide an avenue for growth and development of trainees and current practitioners in the concept of advanced invasive hemodynamic assessment and heart failure treatment.
- Develop and promote statements and other publications for the implementation of invasive and/or interventional strategies to fully understand and treat patients with heart failure.
- Assist in the advocacy efforts supporting the invasive assessment and treatment of patients with advanced or complex forms of acute and chronic heart failure.
